About Us
The Bathurst Muses is the blog project of a writing group based in Toronto. The group has met regularly since 2007 to perfect our short stories, memoirs, novels and travel tales. Here, we share our experiences of the rewards and challenges of writing together and muse about the craft of writing.

Very nice site – clean, organized, and enjoyable content. As a recreational writer not currently participating in a writing group, it is a great impetus to keep at it.
Congratulations on what you have built, and continue to grow.
Jim
Dear Jim,
Thanks so much for your comments! We all begin as “recreational writers”!

Hi My name is Alexis Lagos of Lacedup Imagery and I wanted your group to know about my services. I recently worked with a published YA author polishing her image for her website. I offer photography, hair, makeup and styling so that your image smoothly correlates with your content. Follow this link to see what we do http://lacedupimagery.com/?p=1375 – thank you
Thanks very much for the tip. I’ll share with our group.
and the mystery woman (# 8 in a list of seven) is Anita Morris.
Oops! Thanks John!
Hi Valerie, I’m an aspiring freelance writer in Toronto and am looking for a writing group. I’ve been impressed with what I’ve read here, and wondered if there’s a process for joining your group?
HI Erica,
I can see you are indeed a talented writer! Unfortunately we have decided that our optimal number is 8. Just as a point of interest, I started the group 8 years ago by simply inviting people I knew to come together to chat about forming a group. We (with some changes) have been meeting ever since. Do you know other writers? I’d suggest starting with them. We’ve posted some information about setting rules/goals and expectations. Let me know if you’d like to chat more about this. thanks for reading!
