We’re still writing!

January 12, 2022
The Bathurst Muses continue to meet, learn and write together.

And we’ve been busy! In 2019, Anita Morris published “Wrong” in Echolocation No. 17 , a publication of the University of Toronto’s graduate creative writing program. Valerie McDonald’s essay, “No one said the D-word” was included in A Perfect Offering: Personal stories of trauma and transformation, edited by Harold Heft, Suzanne Heft and Peter O’Brien (2020).

The Muses presented writing on the theme of, “I almost died” at the Eighth Annual Reading in 2019. We hosted our Ninth Reading on Zoom in the depths of the pandemic with the ironic theme of “Journey.” The best thing about the Zoom reading was our international audience of nearly 100 people who signed in from California, Ontario, Quebec, England and Spain. We hope our Tenth Annual Reading in April, 2022 will be a hybrid of in-person and zoom. We think we deserve cake! Stay tuned….

In the meantime, we are revisiting the purpose and need for this blog. What do you think?
