Alice Munro festival 2015

Shila Desai, Alison Colvin, Maureen Smith, Michelle Adelman, Lynn Horton.

The Bathurst Muses have been reaping the rewards of their hard work this spring. Most of the group made the trek to Wingham Ontario to cheer for Lynn Horton, a finalist in the Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story. Valerie McDonald was short-listed as well. Lynn’s story is posted here. The group attended workshops and paid homage to the master by touring Alice Munro’s home town!

The latest edition of the folk magazine, CANADIAN Stories, includes Alison Colvin’s delightful “Delhi to Brussels.” See p. 10 of the June/July 2105 edition. You can purchase the magazine at one of these outlets.

Michelle Adelman is not only an accomplished YA writer, but is now a free-lance investigative journalist. See “The Twisted Truth on GMOs,” to learn more about the how tough it is for Canadian scientists to address concerns about the safety and testing of our genetically modified food, in NOW.
